Taking Risks with your Website Strategy

This year is the year for taking chances and no longer being safe. No Fear! Often times we find ourselves taking the safe route when it comes to website design or even marketing. That doesn’t work as a website strategy. There are millions of websites out there so how are you going to make yours stand out? How will you get noticed?

Actually, there are several answers to those questions and it is a combination of using social media, SEO and a good web marketing strategy to bring it to fruition. First and foremost websites need to be user friendly and functional. You can have the ugliest website in the world but if it has a high conversion rate and revenue is being generated then it is a successful site. What happens often is organizations don’t want to take any risk to be different and so you end up with another website that looks like the rest of your competition.

I started my website redesign research last year and have our first kick off meeting this week to begin our design. We will NOT be safe and will bring a 2013 website in 2010.
