It’s Friday, Summer is Over: Time to Start Planning

[tweetmeme source= “brennels” only_single=false]Yep, it is coming soon, the last Friday of the summer and everyone is getting prepared for getting back to work. This is the time to begin defining your marketing plans for 2011. Start researching vendors, new technologies and planning on what type of budget you may need to support your efforts for the new year. Usually, by this time the marketing events and programs are pretty well defined for the remainder of the year and a great time to get started on brainstorming new and creative ideas. It also, provides the opportunity to reflect on the programs that did or didn’t work year to date and what could be done to adjust some of these to generate even greater lead generation.

So, just because the summer is coming to an end doesn’t mean that there isn’t still work to do. Use this time when the chaos has slowed to get your head wrapped around some new ideas to motivate your team to a new level in the new year.

But before you do that. Have a great Labor Day holiday and enjoy the changing leaves as fall approaches and clear your head to jumpstart your heart and passion for a new beginning.
